Maher Zain born 16 July 1981 is a Swedish R&B singer, songwriter and music producer of Lebanese origin.[3] He released his debut album Thank You Allah, an internationally successful album produced by Awakening Records, in 2009. He released his follow-up album Forgive Me in April 2012 under the same production company, and a third album One (Maher Zain album) in 2016.
Award-winning Swedish singer-songwriter Maher Zain is known for his meaningful songs that inspire, entertain and send a message of hope and peace to the world. His music fuses Eastern and Western sounds with themes of spirituality, humanity, respect and love.
Maher has been actively supporting UNHCR since World Refugee Day 2013. Before performing at the Nansen Refugee Award ceremony in September 2014, Maher travelled to Lebanon, the country of his birth. He visited our frontline operation to see the important work that UNHCR does to support and protect Syrian refugee families.
Maher has used his talents to assist with raising funds for UNHCR by performing at events, and he has also supported campaigns such as #WithRefugees.
